Who am I?

Hi, I’m Nick Williams, a pencil portrait artist based in the UK.

I have been drawing for over 40 years now with my natural skills evident from an early age. I was always sketching images from films and favourite bands, and when I was a teenager I was often asked to paint album covers onto my friends denim jackets.

I inevitably went on to study Art and Design, graduating with a BA (Hons) Degree in the 1980’s.

I then pursued a career in photography, progressing to graphic design, before returning to drawing in 2011.  This was when I discovered my love for portraiture.

My hand drawn portraits are spectacularly executed, passionately capturing the true likeness and essence of the subject, resulting in a photorealistic piece of art which the viewer will look at with awe.
